Parc Lecoq
This park, probably designed for M. Olivié, an industrialist from Bordeaux who founded a glassworks in 1815, still contains the mansion he had built and several remarkable trees that probably date back to the origins of the garden (a sequoia, a tulip tree from 1889, a weeping sophora...). Other species have been reseeded, such as a cork oak (a native species). Today owned by the commune, the ensemble, which also included the site of the former glassworks and its surroundings, was bequeathed to it in 1975 by its last owner, Madame Lecoq.
Today, Parc Lecoq remains a favorite spot for Boïens to stroll, play sports, meet up with friends at the skatepark or take the little ones to the playground.
In fine weather, the park is also the venue for numerous open-air events.
